About Heartha
This space started the way most good things do — with curiosity that turned
into a habit. What began with tinkering in middle school grew into
something I keep coming back to, not because I have to, but because I want
to. It’s a small hobby on the side, not the main thing — just something I
enjoy building in my spare time.
That’s really the heart of it. My grandmother used to say that if you have a
job you love, you’ll never work a day in your life. She lived that out fully —
through her faith, her family, and the quiet ways she showed up for the
people she loved. She passed in 2025 at 98, and she’s still the reason I try
to do things well, even the small ones.
My mom’s been part of that too, in her own way. Her background in
respiratory therapy and her knowledge of anatomy have helped her manage
symptoms and health matters for me, my dad, and parts of her own family
over the years — the kind of quiet, practical care that doesn’t always get
noticed but makes a real difference.
My family’s story runs from Norway to Duluth, Minnesota, to Texas. This
project is a small extension of that — something built with care, meant to
feel personal rather than just functional.
Heartha takes its name from hearth — but the “a” isn’t decoration. It’s an
anchor, holding the warmth of home to something older: family, heritage,
the people who shaped it.
